1-on-1 Academic Tutoring | Grades 5-9 Math | TBU Tutors

Personalized Math Support. Greater Confidence. Stronger Foundations.

Math can become frustrating quickly when students miss a foundational concept or feel like they are falling behind. At TBU Tutors, we meet students where they are and provide personalized, one-on-one support designed to help them understand the math, build confidence, and become more independent learners.

Our tutoring programs are currently designed for students in grades 5–9, with support in:

Arithmetic→ Pre-Algebra→ Algebra I→ Geometry→ Algebra II

Whether your student needs help with homework, wants to strengthen foundational skills, or needs additional support mastering their current course, our tutors tailor each session to the student's individual needs.

How 1-on-1 Tutoring Works

01

Learn

Students build a strong foundation through instruction that is paced to their needs. Their tutor identifies gaps in understanding and breaks challenging concepts into manageable steps.

02

Understand

We go beyond simply getting the right answer. Students learn why mathematical concepts work so they can recognize and use those concepts in new situations.

03

Apply

Students practice applying what they've learned to homework, classwork, tests, and real-world problems. Over time, they develop the confidence to approach challenging math independently.
